Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Davidah Garrison is a storyteller, uplifter and braid specialist with a heart full of purpose. With a deep love for children, reading, and the power of words, she has dedicated her voice to creating stories that uplift, inspire, and remind every reader that they are enough — exactly as they are.

Gifted in the art of hairstyling and braiding, Davidah has spent years helping others feel beautiful and confident. That same passion flows through every page of her writing. Her debut book, My Hair, honors the unique beauty of little Black girls everywhere and reminds them that their crown is something to be proud of always.

Her mission is simple: to make every child who opens her book feel seen, celebrated, and deeply loved.
